There was an interesting article written by Andy LeCates, talking about low-code or no-code software.
What is low-code software?
Forrester Research defines it as: Software which enables “rapid delivery of business applications with a minimum of hand-coding and minimal upfront investment in set-up, training and deployment.”
This is a perfect definition of FileMaker.
FileMaker has been one of the leaders in low-code rapid application delivery software for more than 30 years. As a cross-platform tool, it can deliver the goods for Macs, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web.
Thousands of citizen developers began using FileMaker because of its ease of use. But what is even better is that thousands of experienced programmers are using FileMaker as well. Under the hood, it is packed with many tools to allow sophisticated interaction with all the various web integration tools which are out there.
It is really a perfect blend of two great needs: RAD low-code software, combined with powerful tools to go get the job done.
