I just finished reading a great book on marketing. It is called “The One-Page Marketing Plan” by Alan Dib.
Despite its title, it took him 200 pages to describe the ‘one-page plan’!

But when it was all done, yes, you can actually conceptualize your entire marketing plan on a one-page fill-in-the-blank form which is available on his accompanying website.

The one-page plan is basically a 3×3 grid, where each part of the plan is entered into one of the 9 boxes. The three rows of boxes represent the “before”, “during” and “after” parts of marketing. The first three parts are: Selecting Your Target Market, Crafting Your Message, Reaching Prospects. The second part is Capturing Leads, Nurturing Leads, and Sales Conversion. The final part includes Delivering a World Class Experience, Increasing Customer Lifetime Value, and finally Orchestrating Referrals.

The book was clearly written, easy to read, filled with a lot of common sense and great ideas. It is very evident that the man who wrote it has actually used these techniques to grow his own businesses.

It is a great read, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to, as the book says, “Get New Customers, Make More Money, And Stand Out From The Crowd”
