There are lots of people out there who are part Developer and part Entrepreneur. They are called ‘developreneurs’. Maybe you are one of them. People in this category love to develop and build out their software creations, many times using FileMaker Pro to do it. But whatever platform you may be using, you have these great ideas, and you want to build them, and perfect them. That’s the Developer in you. And then you want to sell them; and that’s the Entrepreneur in you. If that describes you, then you are a Developreneur.

In my book, Easy Apps! I describe the six stages of the Developreneur Process. That is, I cover what it takes to go from idea to product to company. Here are the six stages:

1. Create Your Product – surprisingly, what many people think is the hard part is actually the easiest part of building out a great product company.

2. Choose Your Deployment Method – how you intend to deploy your product affects your business model

3. Plan Your Business Model – once you know how you are deploying you can then monetize that process

4. Market Your Product – this can be the most difficult, but also the most essential part in determining your success. This part can also take the longest as you build your lists and your audience for your product.

5. Support Your Product – in other blogs, I have itemized the S.E.R.V.I.C.E. value proposition

6. Upgrade Your Product – this determines the long-term growth of your company.

We go into more detail in the book, but this is the essential plan.

Best to you on your business growth and success!
