FileMaker 19.4 is Here!

Claris’ Newest Offering in the FileMaker family builds on a solid set of releases in the version 19 space

A few years back, Claris made a commitment to provide more frequent updates. Now, rather than having to wait for sometimes a year or more, they began offering releases almost every quarter. The change is most welcome, and the rapid updates gives the company a more modern and flexible feel to it.

Recently Claris released their newest update 19.4. Here is their press release about it, describing the new features:

1) Windows 11 and macOS Monterey 12 compatibility.

2) Ability to automate tasks in FileMaker Pro with Shortcuts in macOS Monterey.

Run automation scripts in FileMaker Pro and streamline your everyday tasks. Just use the Shortcuts app or Siri voice control to run shortcuts. Use your voice to automatically search for records, run reports for specific dates, send attachments via email, update inventory, modify files stored in container fields, and more.

3) More flexible authentication with customizable OAuth identity providers.

Set up user authentication the way your business requires. With this release, FileMaker provides a straightforward UI to customize the OAuth identity provider of your choice. Supports any provider that uses OAuth2 or OpenID protocols.

4) iOS 15 and OpenSSL 1.1.1l compatibility in FileMaker Go 19.4.

FileMaker Go 19.4 supports new iOS 15 and OpenSSL 1.1.1l to improve security.

5) Key bug fixes and security updates.
